The online admission process for FYJC classes is applicable to all the recognized higher secondary school/junior colleges (Affiliated to the Maharashtra S.S.C. State Board) in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad corporation area, and their participation in this process is compulsory.
Students, who have passed SSC or equivalent examination from any recognized board, and seeking admissions to FYJC classes in any of the junior colleges in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad corporation area, must participate in the online admission process.
Admission to Arts, Science, and Commerce streams will be given through online process. However, following admissions will be done by the respective junior college.
- HSC Vocational (MCVC)
- Home Science
- Technical Junior College
- Night Junior Colleges
- Hindi and Urdu medium Higher Secondary Schools/Junior College.
- Management, minority and in-house quota admissions will be done by the respective higher secondary school / junior college at the institute level but through online process, for which student must fill and submit Part I and Part II of centralised admission application.
Online admissions will be done as per the rules under the constitutional and special reservation policy in force.
Seats in higher secondary school/junior colleges are allocated as per the merit and order of preferences of the applicants; however, choice of optional subjects/optional languages / bifocal subjects in a junior college is subject to availability of seats in that junior college. Bifocal course is an optional subject for science and commerce stream. It is not a separate stream. Therefore, all students should be given online admission for Std. XI Arts, Science and Commerce stream. Then at the junior college level on merit basis from amongst admitted students for Std. XI in the respective higher secondary school/junior college, admissions for bifocal courses / subject can be given to the students who desire to opt bifocal. Students selecting level 3 subjects of National skill Qualification Framework based on Rashtriya Madhamik Shiksha Abhiyan are eligible to apply for centralised admission process for arts, science or commerce stream. However, student can take Level 3 vocational subject from the same school where he has completed Level 2.
Processing fee of Rs. 100/ (One Hundred only) – including cost of this booklet- shall be collected from the student participating in the online admission process.
ATKT will be applicable to the students of Maharashtra State Board only (Not other Boards), failing in an attempt with all subjects, in not more than two subjects in the March 2016 examination.
Rules for Admission:
Students passing Std X examination (SSC) or an equivalent examination with English as one of the subject, are eligible for admissions to FYJC Std. XI. Marks scored in this examination and reservation (if any is applicable), shall be the only criteria for admissions to FYJC Classes.
There will be no interview or test prior to admissions to FYJC classes.
As per the circular of the Maharashtra State Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Pune, No. RA Man/Papui/Gen. Math/4050, dated 2nd June 2008; students who have opted for General Mathematics in Std. X, are not eligible for admissions to bifocal subjects. They are also not eligible to opt for Mathematics in any of the streams.
At the time of applying on-line, the applicants belonging from reserved category should produce an appropriate caste certificate issued by the competent authority, appointed by the Government of Maharashtra or school leaving certificate for verification to heads of schools, failing which their applications may not be processed in the reserved category. Such applications by default will be processed in the open merit category.
Applicants applying for the following special reservation category should produce the relevant original documents/certificates for verification to the respective head of the school, failing which, their applications will not be processed under special reservation category. Such applications by default will be processed in the open merit category. a) Sports b) Arts and Culture c) Wards of the Employees of State Government / Central Government / Private Sector coming on transfer in the PMC and PCMC on or after 1st October, 2015. d) Wards of Servicemen and Ex-Servicemen e) Wards of Freedom Fighters f) Handicapped.
